It was very exciting as inventors, makers and hardware startups in Owerri came together to inaugurate Hardware Nigeria Community (HNC) Chapter in Owerri.

HNC now has 3 chapters in Aba, Uyo and Owerri. More chapters are springing up nation wide.

This inauguration took place on 26th May 2018 at Youth For Technology Foundation (YTF) office in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.

HNC is a national network of Nigerian inventors, makers and hardware business startups committed to fixing hardware problems in Nigeria.

Our goal is to facilitate the creation of hardware products and businesses in Nigeria.

We’ve taken the challenge to build our Nation — Hardware sector.

On 12th May, during the Arduino Day Celebration, we launched a new chapter for Hardware Nigeria Community (HNC) at Uyo.
HNC now has two chapters: Aba and Uyo.
The third chapter shall be inaugurated on 26th May 2018 at Youth for Technology Foundation, Owerri.

Future of Hardware in Nigeria

On 27th April 2018, Clintonel Innovation Centre — CIC took a bold step in addressing the unique challenges facing hardware development in Nigeria.

We held the first meeting of Hardware Nigeria Community (HNC) — a network and synergy of young Nigerians in hardware development.

HNC aims to build a successful Hardware Ecosystem in Nigerian and to transform Nigeria into a Technology Producer.

HNC is building a system which facilitates indigenous product development, entrepreneurship and job creation.
